Portsmouth boss Cotterill expects Ben Haim to make West Ham move

Portsmouth defender Tal Ben Haim is on the brink of signing with West Ham United.

Pompey boss Steve Cotterill thinks that the details of Ben-Haim's personal terms have required additional discussions to delay the transfer.

But he expects the former Chelsea player, who was in the stands for Saturday's pre-season win over Fulham, to follow ex-Portsmouth boss Avram Grant to Upton Park.

Cotterill said in The News: "I feel sorry for Tal. One minute he's here and the next he's not.

"I think he's on his way to West Ham and he will go there.

"There's a lot of to-ing and fro-ing going on with his terms, though."
