Manchester City are ready to offload Eliaquim Mangala.

Mangala is set for an emotional return to Porto, says O Jogo.

The 28-year-old has spent the last two season on loan away from City in search of football, but endured an indifferent spell at Valencia before a miserable stint at Everton, which saw him immediately ruled out injured.

Now Mangala is poised to move back to the team with which he made his name in an attempt to revitalise his career, according to reports in Portugal.

City are understood to be happy to sanction the permanent deal, however the fresh reports add that Mangala's switch is dependent on medical results.
