Porto president Nuno Pinto da Costa can't see Cristiano Ronaldo returning to Portugal.

Now a free agent after having his Manchester United contract terminated last month, Ronaldo has been linked with a return to formative club Sporting CP.

However, Pinto da Costa says: "It is up to him and the clubs that are interested.

"But in Portugal no one has the capacity to give him what he earns and still wants to earn. And he has value for that."

A move to the Middle East remains on the table, where Al Nasr and Al Hilal of Saudi Arabia are in contact.
