Liverpool are close to signing Hector Herrera from Porto, according to reports.
Fox Sports Mexico reporter Vladimir Garcia posted on his Twitter account that 'Herrera is one step away from leaving Porto to move to Liverpool'.
It is understood that the 26-year-old midfielder, who is a target for Napoli, will make the move from Portugal to Anfield after Copa America 2016 having impressed the Reds with his performances in the Primeira Liga over the past few seasons.
Garcia also suggests that Herrera's former club, Pachuca, will be due 30% of the transfer fee which is believed to be around €20million (£15.7m).
Herrera will follow Cameroon defender Joel Matip, who will join from Schalke, and German goalkeeper Loris Karius, who has signed from Mainz, to Merseyside this summer.
