Porto defender Martins-Indi leaves door open for Stoke return

Bruno Martins-Indi has suggested that he will be making a return back to Stoke City next season.

Martins-Indi joined Stoke City from Porto on a season long loan deal on deadline day of the last summer transfer window and the Dutch international formed a formidable partnership alongside Ryan Shawcross at the heart of the Potters' backline.

Stoke City now have the option of signing Martins-Indi on a permanent basis this summer for a fee of around £8.5million and the 25-year-old has hinted that he would be keen on a return back to the Britannia Stadium next season.

Martins Indi said in an interview for Fox Sports."There have been rumours but I'm going back to Porto and I'll work hard to do my best.

"It is certain that I must return to Porto. As for the rest, there is nothing more to be said at the moment. You never know (on his return to Stoke City). Business is business."
