Porto chief Vitor Baia happy to draw Man City in Champions League group

Porto chief Vitor Baia has welcomed their Champions League group draw with Manchester City.

Porto will meet City, Olympiacos and Marseille for the group phase.

Baia said, "It was a balanced draw. There is Manchester City, which is above the average of European clubs for their strength and financial capacity, but there is also FC Porto, a European champion full of ambition.

"Olympiacos and Marseille also have the their aspirations, so it will be a very balanced group.

"It is a group in which the Portuguese fleet is well represented, as all teams have Portuguese, whether coaches or players. It will be good to see some friends again and it is another attractive reason for this group to be an intense group, with a lot of quality and that makes the level of this Champions League even better.

"Moving on to the next stage is our main objective, because in the knockout stage anything can happen. The focus of the coach and the players is to make an excellent group stage and go to the round of 16."
