Porto ace Uribe fires warning at Chelsea: Don't take us lightly

Porto ace Matheus Uribe has fired a warning at Champions League opponents Chelsea.

The two teams will meet in the quarter-finals next month. Chelsea reached the final eight after an impressive round of 16 triumph over LaLiga leaders Atletico Madrid. However, it was Porto which were the talk of the last round after their stunning upset of Juventus. Having beaten Juve 2-1 in Portugal in the first-leg, Porto reached the quarter-finals on the away goals rule after losing 3-2 at Juventus stadium for the second-leg.

For Colombia international Uribe, their success against the Bianconeri should be a warning enough to Chelsea. Indeed, the midfielder is well aware of talk across Europe that Porto are the weakest of the final eight teams left in the Champions League.

He told ESPN Colombia via O Jogo: "Everyone sees us as the weakest team in the quarter-finals, but they have not given us anything.

"If we are here, it is because we deserve it and because we have worked for it."

Uribe is adamant Porto have no reason to be intimidated ahead of meeting Thomas Tuchel's Chelsea.

He added: "With all due respect for all the other teams that are in the quarter-finals, but FC Porto is there to fight with anyone and we are prepared for that. We have a team to face these quarter-finals and hopefully, with the help of God, we can take this big step that we want."
