Gold Coast United signing Joel Porter is eyeing a ominous strike relationship with Shane Smeltz.
Both strikers were targeted by Gold Coast coach Miron Bleiberg last season and will take up much of the attacking onus on the club's first season in the A-League.
Porter knows he may have to play second fiddle to the brilliant Smeltz but is happy to do so.
"I see Shane as a pure goalscorer who might get 15 next season," he said.
"If I can chip in with 10 or so, then we're going to be a very dangerous team.
"I am a player who also likes to set others up and hopefully I'll provide a few assist for Shane along the way."
