Port Vale striker Marc Richards is looking at 25 goals this season as he looks to eclipse last term's tally. The Valiants marksman, who penned a new deal with the Burslem outfit over the summer, found the net 22 times in all competitions in 2009/10.
He is already well on his way in 2010/11 with 12 in 21 appearances to date and, considering he had just eight this time last year, is on target to set a new benchmark.
"To be honest with you I set my standards pretty high," he told the club's official website.
"I've got a target in mind that I want to reach before Christmas, and I also have a target I want to reach come the end of the season.
"As a front man I should be hitting 20-25 goals."
