Port Vale chairman Bill Bratt is hopeful Micky Adams will remain at the club despite speculation linking him with a return to former club Leicester. Foxes boss Nigel Pearson is expected to leave the Walkers Stadium to take over at npower Championship rivals Hull this week and Adams is reportedly the favourite to replace him.
"We have had no approach from Leicester. We are always going to have speculation but Micky is under contract and he is an honourable person," Bratt told the Sentinel. "He is doing a good job for us and I think people are noticing that. He took us over at a difficult time and stabilised the club on the football side.
"It wouldn't be easy to prise him away from here and I am looking forward to next season with him in charge. As far as I am concerned, the reports about Leicester are just paper talk."
Adams got Leicester promoted to the Premier League in 2003 during his spell in charge at the Midlands club.
