Port Vale are keen to take Stoke City's electronic screen off their hands.
The Sentinel says Stoke have removed their giant screen as part of redevelopment work which will see that corner of the Bet365 Stadium filled with seats.
And that prompted Vale supporter Eddie Jackson, from Oakhill, to wonder whether the Valiants could buy the screen to replace the smaller one at Vale Park.
Eddie emailed Vale's chief executive/secretary Colin Garlick who revealed at tonight's supporters' club meeting that he had put in a call to Stoke about the screen.
But he explained that, even if Vale bought the screen from their neighbours, the costs of installing the software at Vale Park could be around £30,000. That is likely to prove prohibitive for the Valiants.
