Arsenal star Granit Xhaka will face no further action over alleged racist comments made to a Heathrow airport worker last month, police have today confirmed, reports the London Evening Standard.
The Arsenal midfielder was interviewed under caution on 23 January after a third party alleged the 24-year-old had racially abused a member of staff at Heathrow's Terminal Five.
It followed an argument, which broke out as Xhaka attempted to drop his fiancée's brother off at the airport for a flight.
Xhaka voluntarily attended an interview at a west London police station where he was then questioned, but was not arrested.
The Metropolitan Police have now told Standard Sport that he was released without any further action following enquiries into the incident.
