Pogba prepared to run down Man Utd contract next season

Paul Pogba is prepared to run down his contract at Manchester United next season, it has been revealed.

The Manchester Evening News says Pogba is relaxed about his future and prepared to stay with Manchester United for at least another year if a summer transfer fails to materialise.

United value Pogba, 28, at £80million as he approaches the final year of his contract but the Frenchman and his family are happy in Manchester.

Pogba and his wife, Zulay, have settled in Cheshire with their two young children and sources say Pogba's partner is particularly happy in the area.

United sources have lauded Pogba's professionalism in the last two years, despite his open interest in joining Real Madrid. Pogba outlined his desire for 'a new challenge' in the 2019 summer transfer window.

Pogba has not currently shown any willingness to sign a new deal with United and his brother, Mathias, warned the club in February they risked losing Pogba on a free when his contract expires in 2022.
