Pogba must go to war with Man Utd to get Real Madrid move

Paul Pogba must make a formal transfer demand if he wants Manchester United to sell him this summer.

The Sun says the French World Cup winner has made it clear to United that he wants to join his hero Zinedine Zidane at Real Madrid.

But United's executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward says he does not want Pogba, 26, to leave.

He believes his sale would further damage the club's image following the nightmare end to the season that cost them a Champions League spot for next season.

United's standing as the biggest club in the world would, Woodward believes, be affected if they let go of one of the globe's biggest stars.

Woodward, however, knows manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is prepared to let the £120million-rated star go to the Bernabeu.
