After missing Manchester United's previous two matches through injury, world-record signing Paul Pogba will make his return for Thursday's vitally important Europa League semi clash against Celta Vigo.

Manager Jose Mourinho confirmed the return of the Frenchman, who has been out of action since copping a knock late on against Burnley.

"(Marouane) Fellaini and (Paul) Pogba will be back for that game, so we have more options and we try with everything we have and we go again."

With eight senior players, including Chris Smalling, out with injury at the moment, Mourinho is down to the bare bones of his squad.

Speaking of the injuries this year, Mourinho added: "It's a consequence of our success but also of the calendar. You cannot be punished because we play the League Cup final."
