Emanuel Pogatetz admits Middlesbrough's victory over Derby was crucial in their survival fight.

The Austria defender said: "It was so important to win. If you look at some of the other results, you can see this has been a big step forward for us.

"We still have to get at least four or five more points but we're in a great position."
