Podolski: Arsenal would be good for a German coach

Arsenal hero Lukas Podolski believes a German coach would thrive at the London giants.

Podolski was asked for his opinion after Arsene Wenger's announcement that he will leave Arsenal at the end of this season.

He told Die Welt: "It is the question of whether they want to have a gentleman with experience like Arsène Wenger, so a guy like Carlo Ancelotti or maybe a young, hungry coach.

"I think Arsenal would be good for a German coach. That is my feeling. The club has been relying on German know-how for some years now."

The two latest names to be linked with the Gunners job are Schalke coach Domenico Tedesco and Hoffenheim's Julian Nagelsmann.
