Mauricio Pochettino has urged Tottenham to take their chances of finishing in the top-four.
Spurs remained in third place over the weekend despite losing to Manchester City, as chasers Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United also failed to win.
Speaking ahead of Wednesday night's clash with relegation-threatened Brighton, Pochettino said: "It is in our hands to be in the top four and the Champions League next season.
"Our next two games are decisive, if we can win them, it will depend on us. Now it is time to be strong and be competitive for Tuesday and take the three points."
