Pochettino slams Spurs quit talk: That stupidity!

Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino has rubbished claims he could walk out of the club.

Rumours have been circulating the Argentinian will quit, leading to some bookmakers no longer taking bets on him becoming the next Premier League manager to leave his job.

But Pochettino has labelled the speculation "stupid".

He said: "That stupidity can happen through some rumour sending to social media that creates a big, big problem that doesn't exist.

"I am not going to walk away after the north London derby. I will be here on Monday and Tuesday."

Pochettino also stated today: "I was with Daniel [Levy] and Jesus [Perez] , we were at dinner in London [yesterday]. It was very good. We talked about everything. We needed that conversation, very positive.

"The most important thing is to help the team on the pitch and make sure the communication is clear.I hope that I can extend my life here. Sure it's good for us and good for the club.

"In the end, it's in the hands of the players and the results, and the last word will be with Daniel."
