Mauricio Pochettino is reviving Tottenham's long-term interest in Ecuador fullback Cristian Ramirez.

Don Balon says Pochettino is having Ramirez watched at Ferencváros, where he is regarded as the best left-back in Hungary.

The defender was due to sign for Spurs in 2012, but the deal fell through due to work permit problems.

Ramirez instead joined Fortuna Dusseldorf before eventually landing a move to Ferencváros.

His next switch could now be back to London, where Pochettino is keen to bring him to Spurs.
