Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino insists they can now attract the game's top talent.
Pochettino insisted that Tottenham's qualification for the Champions League has not been a factor in players wanting to stay, claiming instead that their pulling power has put them on a par with Liverpool and Chelsea.
Speaking ahead of today's trip to Middlesbrough, he said: "Tottenham are a big club, whether we are in the Champions League or Europa League or not.
"Liverpool and Chelsea are not involved in Europe and they can sign players because they are big clubs and Tottenham are in this level.
"We are a big team with a big support and you need to be excited to play for Tottenham."
