Plenty more to come from Celtic young gun Balde - Lennon

Amido Balde still has plenty of developing to do according to Celtic boss Neil Lennon.

The 22-year old Portuguese striker netted the winner off the bench in the Bhoys' 2-1 victory at Partick Thistle on Sunday prompting plenty of praise from Lennon who feels he will become a Parkhead star.

"We know what we've got with Amido. He knows and we know that he's here for the long haul," said Lennon after the match.

"We are going to try to polish off the rough edges. We think he has great attributes and you could see that again today. He has been patient but understands where he is within the squad.

"He will be a good player for Celtic. He has great pace, on the counter-attack he's excellent and he's a decent finisher.

"He can improve a lot of aspects of his game and that's what we are working on day in, day out.

"But I was delighted with his game today and we have been delighted with his attitude since he came in the door.

"As the season progresses we will see more of Amido."

Balde has now scored two goals in ten appearances in all competitions for Celtic since his summer move from VitoriaGuimaraes.
