Playing group not bothered if Man Utd's Fletcher or Celtic's Brown skipper Scotland

Scotland manager Gordon Strachan insists his squad is not too bothered who is handed the captain's armband.

With Manchester United midfielder Darren Fletcher in doubt for Saturday's Euro2016 qualifier with Georgia in Glasgow, Celtic's Scott Brown is the most logical choice to skipper the side but Strachan believes it is not a massive issue.

"Does it matter to the group? I don't think so," he said.

"I think we have people in the group - James Morrison as well - who could captain the side. I don't think it would make any difference to the rest of the group because they feel comfortable with these lads.

"I played for Scotland as captain and not as captain. I was more than happy. It was not a problem."

Scotland host the Georgians at Ibrox in their second Group D outing following their narrow 2-1 loss to World Champions Germany in Dortmund last month.
