Players Union gets involved in Barcelona contract for Messi

Messi has agreed a new deal with Barca which keeps him at the Nou Camp until 2016.

But FIFPro, the worldwide players' union, have stuck their oar in and made a complaint to FIFA, says La Vanguardia.

Philippe Piat, president of the European branch of FIFPro, says player contracts should be no longer than five years.
