Players in and out of Manchester United this summer

The summer transfer window is coming fast - and it won't be as dull as last year. Manchester United seems to be especially keen on strengthening its ranks this year, with several young and talented players on its radar. But for each player coming to Old Trafford, there seems to be one leaving as well.

Lingard and the Wolves: making it permanent?

Manchester United seems to be willing to let Jesse Lingard go. The 28-year-old midfielder, currently on loan at West Ham United, has shown his best form since joining West Ham this January, so much so that some voices have spoken in favour of returning him to Old Trafford and the Red Devils' first team. West Ham, in turn, seems to be keen on keeping him in Stratford: the club will reportedly do "whatever it takes" to transform the loan into an actual contract.

According to some sources, Lingard is now worth more than a big jackpot win at an online casino: Manchester United is looking to pocket £30 million as a result of the transfer. Lingard's performance, in turn, makes an expensive gamble like this worth it: he scored six times in his eight league games so far with the Wolves.

United to snatch Konate from Liverpool?

The Red Devils have been on the lookout for a new central defender for quite some time, with their eyes on a few promising players. Now, it seems, they've made up their minds, choosing RB Leipzig star Ibrahima Konate. And they might snatch him right from under Liverpool's nose.

Liverpool reportedly made a bid for the 21-year-old Frenchman who has been with Bundesliga side RB Leipzig but a deal has not been done so far.

Manchester United may be in a hurry to sign a new defender considering the potential exit of Eric Bailly who might leave Manchester for Milano this year. Bailly has just one year left on his contract and he is frustrated by his lack of opportunities at Old Trafford.

Konate reportedly comes with a price tag of £33 million, a reasonable price for what he can do on the turf.

Dusan Vlahovic in great demand

Another player who may be coming to Old Trafford this summer is Fiorentina striker Dušan Vlahović. But his move to Manchester is certainly a "maybe" because he seems to be in high demand: apparently, he is courted by Liverpool and Real Madrid as well.

The 21-year-old made his professional debut with Partizan Belgrade in 2016 and snatched by Serie A side Fiorentina once he turned 18. Since then, he played over 60 league games with the club, scoring 19 goals in the process - and was capped 7 times for the Serbian national team, scoring twice.

Manchester United is reportedly looking for a replacement for Cavani, rumoured to leave Old Trafford for Boca Juniors. Liverpool, in turn, is bracing for the potential departure of Roberto Firmino, linked to Atlético Madrid.
