Roma midfielder David Pizarro has hit out at ultras that have been protesting against the players.

Speaking ahead of Roma's Europa League match against Fulham tomorrow night, Pizarro said: "We have seen that in other sectors of the stadium there are fans who cheer us on and applaud us.

"Unfortunately we are disappointed because no one likes to play in an atmosphere of this nature but fans are like this.

"Sure, the moment is not what we all dreamed of, but I think that the team is working well enough to take important positions both in Europe and in Serie A.

"We are on the pitch and our work is 'there', the club also does its work."
