Italian legend Andrea Pirlo believes four teams can challenge former club Juventus for the Champions League.

Pirlo named last season's finalists Liverpool, Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Manchester City.

But the 2006 World Cup winner thinks Juve, who have added Cristiano Ronaldo this season, will be hard to beat.

He told Sky Sports: "If you play those four-five teams, including Juventus, then there are Liverpool, Barcelona, Manchester City and Bayern Monaco.

"The teams are more or less those. While the championship is a thing in itself, Juventus has shown and is proving to be a step or two steps above the others."
