Pirisi exclusive: Inter Milan right to splurge on Lukaku, but Alexis...

They come from the same team, which also sent on loan the extraordinary Chris Smalling (a pillar of Paulo Fonseca's Roma) to Serie A, but for now the impact of Inter Milan pair Alexis Sanchez and Romelu Lukaku has been decidedly different.

The Chilean, on-loan from Manchester United, is struggling a lot, between the bench and injuries that are keeping him away from the pitch, while Belgian Lukaku, despite the skepticism of many journalists and a not yet optimal physical shape, is scoring with a remarkable consistency.

In the plans of Antonio Conte the two of them should have been the starting duo of his 3-5-2, but once healed from his latest injury, Alexis will have to fight for that spot with Lautaro Martinez.

We talked about the purchases of the two with Filippo Pirisi, local players' agent and sports law expert, exclusively for Tribalfootball.com.

About Lukaku, we asked Pirisi whether it was right to spend all that money to buy him: "Absolutely yes, Conte has focused on him and the boy is meeting the expectations. He is certainly a unique striker compared to the typical parameters of Serie A, but the qualities and the numbers are in front of everyone's eyes."

Injured and on the margins of the team, Alexis is struggling in this second experience in Serie A. We asked Pirisi if he thinks Alexis will be signed outright anyway or if this difficult period could compromise his future in Milan: "He is a phenomenal player but he is often subject to various injuries, but Inter knew this from the beginning and I think they made a global assessment between pros and cons."

Alexis is expected back in action for January.
