Arsenal hero Robert Pires is convinced by the quality of Yacine Adli.

The PSG youngster is expected to join Arsenal at the end of the month.

New Gunners boss Unai Emery gave Adli his PSG debut at the end of the season but the midfielder now wants to leave French football.

Speaking at the launch of Arsenal's new 2018/19 navy blue away kit, when asked if Adli could become the 'next Robert Pires', the former France star laughed and said: "I hope for him."

He added: "He's a talented player. I know him.

"He has very good quality, he's very fast with the ball.

"Sometimes he can score. I know Emery likes this type of player.

"I don't know what's happening but if he joined Arsenal, I think he would be a good player for the new squad."
