Arsenal hero Robert Pires has praised PSG for signing Liverpool midfielder Gini Wijnaldum.

PSG trumped Barcelona to the Bosman prospect last week.

Pires told Le Parisien: “Physically, he is at the top.

"He is in a kind of progression and the match against Ukraine confirms it: he is an extremely important player.

"As I said on the air, he is a very, very good recruit for PSG."
