Gerard Pique has thrown down the gauntlet to Barcelona teammate Antoine Griezmann.

The France attacker has battled for since his big money summer arrival from Atletico Madrid.

And Pique has hinted Griezmann needs to show more determination to prove himself with the LaLiga champions.

He told Cadena COPE: "Real Sociedad and Atlético de Madrid are teams that played for him. In Barça, we do not play for him considering the level that there is here.

"He must find his place, and little by little he will find it. He has talent and quality. I also have a lot of respect for everything he brings us defensively."
