Lazio coach Stefano Pioli was delighted with victory over Hellas Verona.
Lucas Biglia and Marco Parolo struck for Lazio in the 2-1 win.
"It was an excellent performance by my team," Pioli told Premium Sport.
“We didn't deserve to trail, but we did well in catching up. Verona could only have scored on a dead-ball situation, we reacted really well.
“Now we have to insist. I saw many positive things from my team. The lads wanted this victory so we could leave behind our backs the recent disappointments.
“Our games against Chievo and Napoli didn't show our true level. This squad has quality.
“We can do some satisfying things and put up a fight against any opponent.
“We haven't done anything yet, so let's think one game at a time as we prepare for our Europa League game.
“We knew how important this game was. We had to showcase the work we had done, and prove we'd learned from our mistakes."
