Pink is the colour for St Mirren stopper

St Mirren keeper Paul Gallacher is happy to stay in the pink even though it's earning him stick from fans and team-mates, reports the Scottish Sun. The Saints star is wearing a pink jersey as part of their new look strip.

Gallacher insists he doesn't care what colour his top is as long as he's in possession of the No 1 jersey.

He said: "The colour of the jersey wasn't my choice.

"We were instructed what colours we would be wearing. You'll not believe it but the pink was the better of the two, so that shows you how bad the goalkeeper's tops were.

"The other one was green, the same colour as the grass!

"As long as I've got the No 1 jersey I'll wear whatever colour of jersey I'm given.

"I've had a bit of banter with the fans about it, I've had certain things shouted at me. Even my team-mates had a bit of banter when they first saw it, but it's just another top."
