Pierre Kalulu is delighted with his move to AC Milan.

The fullback joined last year from Olympiqe Lyon.

He told Eurosport: "The decision to leave Lyon for AC Milan? There are a lot of things that come into play, it was the first choice to make in my young career. Everything was done quite simply. AC Milan was a unique opportunity. No one can predict what would have happened if I had stayed in Lyon. Maybe everything would have been fine, maybe it wouldn't.

"AC Milan were also a leap into the unknown. There was apprehension, but behind it there was also a real interest and a real project. That's why I chose AC Milan. When you're young and you see a club that wants to trust young people, that matters a lot.

"Leao, Saelemaekers, Bennacer ... I could say pretty much all the names. Almost everyone is actually young. It's a pleasure to have this chance and to be able to win. The coach trusts me. I can show what I'm capable of."
