Phelan says Man Utd management satisfied with performance at Chelsea

Manchester United No2 Mike Phelan says they left Chelsea satisfied with their performance after last night's 1-0 defeat.

United more than matched the Premiership leaders before being undone by a late John Terry header.

Phelan told BBC Sport: "We felt that we could come here (Stamford Bridge) and give Chelsea a very, very good game. Tactically I thought we did very, very well - the players stood up to the task and did what was asked of them so, we can't grumble on that score but sometimes you don't get always what you deserve.

"…I thought we created some real chances, maybe our selection of passes in the final third wasn't just right but I think overall, Chelsea realised they were in the game today."
