PFA boss Gordon Taylor has slammed the Premier League's new 25-man squad rules.
They were designed to restrict the number of foreign players and boost the development of our young home-grown players.
But after not one fit star - foreign or otherwise - was condemned to the scrapheap, players' union chief Taylor called for the men in charge to get even tougher.
The PFA boss said: "The new 25-man rule is a step in the right direction but it clearly does not go far enough.
"People talk about getting more home-grown players in squads. But I won't be happy until we have a rule saying that we must have two or three on the field of play."
