Lazio boss Vladimir Petkovic admits they've lost last season's drive.
Lazio are struggling at home and in Europe this season.
"We're a long way off from where I'd like us to be. At times we went close, but we need to be more effective and hungry to prove ourselves.
"Some players still need to find the determination and rage within them to help the others. Maybe that is what we've been missing, that everyone feels 120 per cent part of the team. I say that because 100 per cent is not enough at these moments."
Petkovic confessed President Claudio Lotito's visit to the squad included a 'tough love' approach.
"He was motivating and categorical. He had some legitimate demands and we know that we must give more. The fans deserve more, especially those who came to Cyprus. The positivity has to begin from within us."
