Peterborough United name Cooper as new manager

Peterborough United have appointed Mark Cooper as new manager.

The Daily Mail says Cooper has been appointed as the new Peterborough manager, succeeding Darren Ferguson after holding talks at London Road.

Cooper, 40, moved from Kettering after a compensation package was swiftly agreed.

Cooper had taken Kettering into third place in the Blue Square Premier, having won the Blue Square North title with the club in 2008.
