Perth Glory score first Melbourne victory

Perth Glory has scored it's first ever win away to Melbourne Victory with a clinical 2-0 success at AAMI Park tonight. Goals to Jamie Harnwell and Mile Sterjovski either side of the interval were enough for Robbie Fowler's Glory side to secure the first win for the season.

Melbourne Victory 0 Perth Glory 2 (Harnwell 23, Sterjovski 49) Crowd: 20,358 at AAMI Park

Melbourne controlled possession in a tight contest, but the lack of strikers with the absence of Robbie Kruse and the long-term injured Archie Thompson meant very little firepower up front to take advantage of the opportunities created by the likes of Hernandez and Brebner.

For Perth, the victory was their first in eight visits to Melbourne and they will return to the same venue in two weeks when they take on Melbourne Heart.
