Cheick Tiote's move from Newcastle United to Shanghai Shenhua has stalled over the player's wage demands, according to Sky Sports.
The 29 year old Ivory Coast international midfielder travelled to China last Friday to hold talks after the two clubs agreed the fee in the region of £5m.
