Perisic hails shock Inter Milan comeback against Spurs

Inter Milan midfielder Ivan Perisic hailed their Champions League win against Tottenham on Tuesday night.

They were trailing at San Siro in this Champions League opener until the 85th minute, but two goals in seven minutes from Mauro Icardi and Matias Vecino turned it around.

“It's a very important victory. We know the fixture list is tough and we did well, fighting to the bitter end and proving our character," the Croatian told Sky Sport Italia.

“We gave it absolutely everything and in the end were rewarded with the win."

Elsewhere in their group, Barcelona thrashed PSV Eindhoven 4-0.

“It was the first Champions League game for many of us and that's not an easy situation. It was my first in six years. We've got three points in a tough group, but we have to take it one match at a time."
