Former Ajax winger Kenneth Pérez has urged Frenkie de Jong to swerve a move to England.
De Jong is a target for Manchester City, Barcelona and PSG ahead of the January market.
And Perez told Fox Sports: "He is of course only 21. If he were to end up at Manchester City, Manchester United or Liverpool, the English competition is physically stronger and the pace is so high.
"In France they are physically strong, but he will join a team where you can get used to the top level.
"You should also bear in mind that Adrien Rabiot leaves and a place is released, so if you go to Manchester City, you can join the 80 other midfielders at the end."
