Lucas Perez has handed Arsenal fans positive news about his recovery from an ankle injury after the striker revealed he could return to action earlier than expected.

Despite fears he will be missing until December, however, the player has taken to social media to confirm he could be available for selection earlier than that date.

Alongside a video of him performing training drills, the 28-year-old tweeted on Thursday evening: "Working already on the pitch. On track for an early recovery."
