Manchester United will recall Joel Pereira from loan in order to allow Sam Johnstone to join Aston Villa.

Johnstone has consistently been linked with a loan move to the Championship and it now looks like the 23-year-old is on the verge of joining Villa on loan in the coming days.

The Daily Mail have reported that United have recalled goalkeeper Pereira from his loan spell at Portuguese outfit Belenenses and his imminent return means that the Red Devils will now allow Johnstone to depart for Villa Park on a temporary deal till the end of the season.
