Pepe Reina has offered his support to Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea.
Despite being rated as one of the top keepers in the world, De Gea endured a very difficult second half of the season at United.
Several high profile mistakes, including one in the Champions League quarter final second leg against Barcelona, cost his side dearly.
However, Reina believes that all keepers go through ups and downs.
He believes that De Gea has the quality to bounce back and show his true quality.
He told Goal: "In my time at Liverpool something similar happened to me, we all have ups and downs.
"David has been the best player at Manchester United over the last four years and that means they expect a lot from you.
"With the national team his level has also improved lately. De Gea is well prepared, he only needs the confidence."
