Exciting midfielder Adriano Pellegrino is planning to meet standards set for him with the Perth Glory this season.
The 26-year old winger was brilliant in the Glory's 3-3 draw with North Queensland Fury last Friday night, setting up two goals, and he knows he must maintain that type of performance to help the club achieve positive results.
"Being a wide player and setting up two assists in one game, that's what I'm there for, and that's what I have to set my goals at now," he told WAtoday.
"Now I've set a standard, I've got to maintain it and keep working hard and not let myself fall off, so wherever I get put on the ground, I've just got to try my hardest.
"But on a personal level, it was good to get on the pitch first game. A lot of people might have had different expectations thinking I've missed pre-season and that, but it was good to just get out there and prove to people I'm back at the club and I'm happy to be here and setting up a couple of goals."
Pellegrino and the Glory meet the Melbourne Victory at AAMI Park on Saturday - kick-off is at 7:30pm.
