Manuel Pellegrini was remaining calm following Manchester City's 2-1 loss to Everton on Wednesday night.
City were beaten in the Capital One Cup semi-final first leg at Goodison Park after Romelu Lukaku headed home in the 78th minute following earlier goals from Ramiro Funes Mori and Jesus Navas.
Regarding the two-legged affair, Pellegrini insisted that only half the contest has been played as City look ahead to the home leg at the Etihad Stadium on January 27.
"It was important to draw level at the moment we did," said the Chilean.
"We were playing better - but Lukaku is a dangerous player.
"We have only played 90 minutes - it is important not to concede another goal. We can progress if we play the way we normally play at home."
