West Ham United boss Manuel Pellegrini admits that Charles Aranguiz did not want to join the club.
The Hammers were after the Bayer Leverkusen midfielder.
However, after the signing of Pablo Fornals, it appears that West Ham have moved on from that interest.
Now their boss Pellegrini admits that Aranguiz was not a fan of making the switch to the London club.
He said to reporters: "I will not talk about conversations, but I can tell you that I would have loved to have many Chilean players who have been figures worldwide.
"In the past I took several: Salas, Rojas, Matías Fernández, Iturra, Moras; I have taken 7 or 8 Chilean players.
"I tried to take Aránguiz to West Ham, but he did not want to."
