Manuel Pellegrini hailed his Manchester City side's professionalism after their 2-0 win at Everton on Sunday.
The Sky Blues made it three wins from three outings to start the new campaign perfectly and the triumph at Goodison Park was well-received by Pellegrini who praised the competent nature of the victory.
"I think that was a very professional performance," he told Sky Sports.
"We played a very difficult team here at Goodison Park.
"During both halves, I think we were a very consistent and solid team. We had more chances to score than Everton.
"We scored two goals, again we keep a clean sheet, so I think we are working very well as a team, defending and attacking."
City find themselves on top of the table having scored eight goals and conceded none in their first three fixtures of the 2015/16 season after Aleksandar Kolarov and Samir Nasri scored second half goals against the Toffees.
