Pelé: Soccer Legend is an inspiring and addictive game. It has 3D graphics that boast photorealistic textures and appealing lighting. The sights and sounds of the game make players feel like they are in the back alleys of Brazil—that is where the majority of the action takes place, as gamers are tested on their kicking skills, headers, and creativity. In order to earn full marks, players must hone their abilities on the streets, just like Pelé did before achieving international success.
Whether Pelé needs to kick the ball straight, bend it, or perform a header, players will relish the minimalist control scheme. When playing on a touch-screen, there are zero buttons to press. Gamers must swipe to kick; that's all there is to it. The simple controls surprisingly result in more command over the ball. The swiping motion determines how Pelé's leg moves. When swiping straight through the ball, Pelé will kick with precise back spin or top spin. The ball will fly straight and hard in whichever direction the player aims.
